Getting a Cyborg Body Mod Guidelines
The Body Mod
* Know your mod - be sure you know what the mod is made of and what it does * Know your procedure - be sure you understand where the mod will placed and what the steps of the procedure will be * Know your aftercare - understand and be prepared for the aftercare * Know risks - understand what complications there can be from the mod or procedure, what risks there are you, those around you and your environment.
The Body Modder
The modder should explain the procedure in clear language and obtain verbal consent that you understand:
* what the mod does * what are the risks of having the mod * what technique will be used and if it is a new technique * what aftercare is required * what to look for if the mod is being rejected
Ask * how much experience they have with this procedure * what sterilization they used
Tell the modders * if you have any medical conditions that would a problem * if you have had any reactions to piercings or body mods in the past * if you are under the influence – they should refuse to continue if you are * if have any concerns about getting the mod
Aftercare
Aftercare is an important step, be sure to follow the instructions and check in if you have any concerns
